Eli is the founder of 3iap, which is a data, design, and analytics consulting firm, specializing in data strategy, data visualization, product design, and custom application development. This year at IEEE Vis, he spoke about his published research with Cindy Xiong called "Dispersion Vs Disparity: Hiding Variability Can Encourage Stereotyping When Visualizing Social Outcomes".

We'll be asking Eli how we can avoid perpetuating stereotypes when we visualize social inequality. What informed design choices can we make?
